For those of you who don't know how things work, and those who join later;
Encyclopedia Dramatica (ED) is not owned by anyone. A select group of people may make decisions affecting the site as a group or as an individual;
Roles
Crats - These people assign roles and typically have Admin powers over all or some areas of the site. They also decide sitewide policy. You can't be one, so don't ask.
Admins - These people Administer all or some areas of the site. They typically cannot (not supposed to) assign roles, except for bots. They are chosen by a majority of Crats.
Mods - These people are assigned tasks and have additional permissions (i.e. editing locked pages). Any Crat can make you a Mod, and any Crat can take it away.
Banning and De-op'ed
Are you butthurt because .wil won't let you spam MLP furry porn on discord? Are you now crying to another Admin to let you back in? Here's how it works;
1. Any Admin/Crat can De-op'ed or ban a user or mod.
2. Either you get that Admin to change their mind, or you ask to plead your case to the group (either you personally or via a proxy).
3. To remove an Admin or Crat, the majority of other Crats need to to approve, however they can be suspended on an emergency basis.
Site roles for different sections of ED mean shit
Just because someone is, or is not, an Admin on Discord, doesn't mean they are, or are not, a Crat.
The same goes for the forums and the wiki.
Typically the ED Government Hierarchy (Masthead) can be found here;
