Nixtamalized corn. It is why my dumb Mick ancestors got no use out of the corn they were shipped during the famine. Coulda used a few Mexican immigrants at the time to show them the wonders of lye.

It basically tastes like a little ball of tortilla. It is also the only way corn has any nutritional value to it (B vitamins) beyond fiber, since ordinarily without the process your body absorbs nothing and the corn itself is literally full of cancer.
