This anime was shit. Really great concept... wasted on an unlikable, unrelatable garbage protagonist with weirdly inhuman support characters. Half the time I couldn't tell which was actually human... the weird fuckin God aliens or the emotionally autistic mannequins dragging ass all over.

Never liked the high school drama or waifu fantasies even when I was a kid.
Giant robots vs wacky monsters & sever cult atmosphere were the best part of the show.
Also the new EVA3+1 sucked. Happy end for normies, desperately forced shipping plus shitty CGI animation.

it was a really fun movie, lot's of fanservice and action sequences. i like that anno put here a lot of gainax-like wackyness and action the original series lacked. overall two and a half hour well spent
