Some games are better on console, others are better on PC. I'd rather not choose and just have all the platforms available so I can have the best gaming experience.

But some games always require cutting edge and EXPENSIVE components on the PC. Consoles are cheap in comparison and the game makers learn how to use every bit of capability in the console to churn out fun games.

PC games requiring high end components is actually a sign that its badly optimised and the devs did a shit job
if a game is "using every bit of capability" then it probably has a memory leak. there's a reason games are continually patched and updated.
And yet some very popular games on PC were initially difficult to play unless you had a top end rig

Take ARK as an example. It recommends a 1080ti, which wasnt even released for another year and a half after the game was
