There is a problem with American politicians, the left, swinging wildly on whether or not the vaccine's safe.
Origin of the virus and it's development would be pivotal in creating the most effective vaccine and give the researchers a better understanding on how it mutates.

It would be funny if my ICU wasn't full of covid again and we weren't fighting to fly 30 y Olds out for the only ECMO beds in the southwest to try and buy them time until we can either fix their lungs or find a new set for them.
I will never understand how ppl are more willing to trust the MyPillow guy or Tucker Carlson more than they are willing to trust a doctor that went thru a meat grinder of an education for 10+ years to learn how to save them. Most of us medicos don't want ppl dying, no matter what their political affiliations are.
Nope. Wish it was. Last couple of my super sick covids were ppl in their 30s with no underlying conditions I was trying to transport for ECMO to Albuquerque. One was a pregnant girl, she mightve been in her late 20s, can't remember.
Something to keep in mind if you move to the southwest bro, you being tubby puts you at a higher risk for complications with this. I hope you have good insurance, cuz I don't think Tucson has ECMO n CT surgery at their tertiary care, so if your insurance won't cover the flight, you gonna die.

It's not just the vax. It's a legitimate concern on the safety of the vax. Reports of deaths and complications are real. And the media and current administration is all too eager with the Big Tech to suppress that news. Not withstanding the political stuff that is tacked onto the vax. Why can't I go back to normal if I get the vax. Isn't that the goal? Why the mixed messages.
Why import illegals into the country which are testing positive at a 900% rate from a year ago when the country is under crisis? Wouldn't that further the spread? Where is the government sending them? and why?

Those same doctors are flip flopping and no information or guidance is consistent from one week to the next. This is the very definition of a clusterfuck.
But everyone should be asking, which they are not, "Why was the US paying the CHINESE to conduct tests on proof of function in the Corona virus?" Don't we have capable scientists here? Wouldn't the research be more legitimate due to our open scrutiny?

Look, I totally understand the hesitation over getting the shot. Im gonna level, I was one of the first ones to get it, they made us all sign a waver saying we won't sue if we end up dead or maimed by it.
I weighed my options n decided then that if I was gonna die, either covid or the vaccine would kill me, but meh, I'd be dead n we'd know it was the shot if I died from it.
That was in December. Since then I've had no issues. And I've known 1000+ people who've gotten the shot, of both political camps, with no permanent damage.
The changing stance on masks is because of the mutation. Something all viruses and bacteria do. We knew that was coming too, thats why they rushed the shot out (partially) because the sooner we established a vaccine base, the less likely we would give the virus fertile ground for possible mutation. The more hosts for a virus, the increasing chance of mutations. The worry is that the Delta variant has already out witted the shot and can still cause infections n transmission in vaccinated ppl.
However, its shown that the vaccine provides partial immunity and prevents the severe infection in vaccinated ppl. But we can still pass it around n get ppl sick, especially to unvaccinated ppl, so masks limit the transmission. Which we want, instead of an overwhelmed hospital system and all that shit we saw last year (like the refrigerated trucks n bodies stacked in the decon shower).
The "ppl testing positive for the virus despite vaccination" is usually a misleading clickbait thing. You gotta ask, what are they testing positive for? Is it the antigen, the rapid PCR test, or the nucleaic acid test. They could harbor viral DNA without being symptomatic because they were exposed but the virus can't use them as a host to reproduce cuz of the immunity so it's gonna hang out there, inert until it burns out. That's been the issue from the start, asymptomatic transmission has been our biggest hurdle, even b4 the vaccine.
I know it seems like doctors are flip flopping but information is changing rapidly, and it's taking alot to keep up. I get not trusting the vaccine, but the masking thing isn't a huge surprise. I will do it if it keeps us out of lock downs. And lock downs only delay the inevitable so I don't wanna see that either.
The "ppl are dying from the vaccine," ok, aside from issues with the J&J vaccine (with women n blood clots, proven to not be connected, and the # of supposed cases was at a lower rate than blood clots associated with hormonal birth control yet thats not receiving public outcry) I haven't heard of widespread death from the shot. And they are studying the fuck out of the vaccine recipients.
Again, I get the hesitation. I know nurses n docs that are hesitant. Thats ok. We living in scary times. But most of us wanna save ya'll. If you decide to not get the shot, do so with the right information, talk to your health care providers, look at medical journals (Google scholar can get you access to one's that are usually behind paywalls) and be mindful of where the info comes from.
And yes, big Pharma owns us in the USA and we in medicine know it and also hate it. Believe it or not, we fight them alot about shit (drug cost, efficiency, risk, safety). We want you guys to not die, thats it. We don't get any more money if you die and we kinda like ya'll.

The masks are ineffective against virus. Even the Grand Wizard Fauci said in the beginning, they won't have any real effect on containing the virus. Why are we to believe his 180 degree turn around? There was obvious political stuff with the mask which undermined any help it could have impacted. It made it a farce. You couldn't get married, bury you loved one, have birthday parties, mask or no mask because COVID. But, if you wanted to burn down a PD station in the name of a dead junkie, go right ahead. The infection rate in AZ was nearly zero, until the BLM protests in Phoenix in late May/June. Then things kicked off.

1. The changing stance on mask use (non-medical variety) is NOT based on science. It's well known that the virus is too small to be stopped by cloth masks. The poison dwarf himself, Fauci, admitted this way back in February.
2. If we're so worried about mutated versions of the virus emanating from the unvaxxed, wouldn't it make sense to STOP ALLOWING THE THIRD WORLD TO FLOW OVER OUR SOUTHERN BORDER BY THE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS EVERY MONTH? And wouldn't it make sense to STOP putting those creatures on planes and buses and sending them all over the country with ABSOLUTELY NO MEDICAL OVERSIGHT and NO knowledge of their current medical conditions or their medical histories?
