Apollo app was the only good way to use reddit on mobile so this is very weak. They're trying to pump and make themselves look as good as possible from a shareholder perspective for when they plan to go public same reason why there've been leaks that they plan to ban porn. It is what it is though.

Yes, and maybe someone (screwgle, failbook, microshyte) have been sniffing around and offered many delicious sheckels IF reddit gives itself a spit shine and can prove it has real money making potential.

It's not gonna be a big tech its gonna be the same 2-3 investment companies that buy up and destroy every company. Expect Blackrock to be a top 5 proprietor of the reddit corp when it goes public, and expect it to get even more Jewish than it already is. Reddit's on borrowed time anyways its (digg)ing its own grave like all the big social medias that exist now and I expect a collapse of the big ones withing 5 years.

People said this about MySpace, Skype, etc and everytime they just get replaced by something that's basically the same just with different UI (MySpace -> Facebook, Skype -> Discord, Kik -> Snapchat, etc)

Big tech is here to stay considering the average population has zero interest in the alternatives.

I didn't say the status quo would change I just said it was gonna fall down for the big ones.

That at least I can agree with, I don't know anyone under 25 who uses Facebook and Twitter is headed in the same direction.

Facebook clearly knows they have no future if they keep doing Facebook because they have no new users joining its why they did that whole "metaverse" thing just for it to drop and flop. I own an Oculus Quest and something I go on Meta Horizon Worlds just to check it out and its actually barren like the most people you see at a time is like 5 in a lobby as compared to the packed lobbies of Rec Room and VRChat. The future for Facebook is uncertain and not looking up.

5 years is quite awhile in a tech sector where the only valuable part of the business is the user base - eyeballs - since all of these social media platforms are simply platforms for advertising.
