Because im not building computers all the time and honestly as long as you dont wear socks and you build on top of your mboard box you shouldnt have these issues

The static bracelet is not to only prevent static from shocking the hardware, it prevents the hardware's natural static charge discharging in a rapid manner. Dunno. If you don't want to wear one more power to ya.

If he gooped the compound on the pins he could have shorted the fucking chip. I mean it's Ben here. It's often pretty accurate to assume the worst.

Check the connections because your problems stem from when you call the HD. It may be a bad PS but even off brands are pretty good now days. The real diff between good ones and 2nds is the efficiency.

it's safe to eliminate the g card. he wouldn't get to the BIOS screen if it was.

I had to get the new PSU cuz the old one couldn't handle the 2060

Not necessarily. In bios it has no load on it
