As a Mexican Muslim, I love cooking my native dishes but with a Middle Eastern twist. Most Mexican food can be made halal, mostly dependent on your choice of meat, and tacos are no different. Here's my grandmother's recipe for Tandoori Tacos 🤌🏽
  1. 200g chicken boneless pieces
  2. Pack of 12 taco shells– readymade from the supermarket
FOR THE MARINADE
  1. ½ cup natural yoghurt
  2. 2 tbsp tandoori Masala (dry red powder available in Asian supermarkets)
  3. 1 tbsp fresh ground ginger paste
  4. 1 tbsp freshly ground garlic paste
  5. ¼ tsp cumin powder
  6. ½ tsp garam masala
  7. ½ tsp chilli powder
  8. Juice of half a lemon
  9. Salt and black pepper to taste
  10. 1 tbsp vegetable oil
FOR THE TANDOORI MASALA
  1. 1 onion finely chopped
  2. 1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste
  3. 2 green chillies finely chopped
  4. Handful of coriander leaves finely chopped
  5. 1 tbsp vegetable Oil
METHOD
  1. Take a pan, add the oil and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
  2. Add the garlic and ginger paste and sauté for a few minutes.
  3. Now add the chicken pieces, one at time and cook over high heat (you can also add 3-4 tbsps of the marinade to give it a thick gravy).
  4. Cook for 10-15 minutes until the liquid reduces and keep mixing the chicken so that it doesn’t stick to the pan.
  5. Add the coriander leaves.
  6. Assemble the tacos and add the garnish of your choice.
  7. Serve the tacos with a green coriander chutney.

Yeah, it's kind of tough. There's a button called Print Scrn on the keyboard. Scrn is short for screen. It's kind of confusing.
If they are a Windows user they can just hit the windows button + shift + s keys together to snip what they want on screen.
