it still works, I can listen to music with VLC media player and watch youtube videos (ad-free I might also add) in the google chrome app, so it does good for me to keep it charged and in working condition.

how's the battery on it?

If I don't use it much the battery can last for several days uncharged with battery saver turned on (not sure how much of a difference that makes with it being so old). I can get probably 10+ hours with VLC playing music in the background and doing nothing else, its really only constantly having the screen on and doing something that gets the battery to go down quick.
