@Barrabas, got a proper granite mortar, made some garlic sauce in it didn't use lemon juice, just few drops of vinegar work perfectly fine

We have tentative plans to make an attempt at toum this weekend (Sun, Mon for us) for some 7spice/yogurt marinated chiggin we plan to grill. If we end up going for it I'll post results.

I had this nagging feeling that I'd forgotten something today, and I could not see what it was.
I forgot to buy cheese for ham pie..

Anyone got suggestions for a cheeseless (sad) ham pie using smoked ham, eggs, onions and monosodium glutamate?

i like either or, honestly. i don't eat a lot of salads n it's usually mixed with a lot of other stuff that overshadows the boring leafiness.
