I actually have no clue, I've just seen a bunch of funny gnome videos, I'd assume like similar creatures from european folklore they can be good or mischievous

So Mayans had a leprechaun type creature called the Alux. But they look like lil Mayans not gnomes.

I am aware. I don't quite buy into the machine elf part, that sounds like paganistic conjecture but the pineal gland getting calcified definitely suppresses psychic abilities and the capability to perfrom manifestation magicks.
