I disagree. What you write is the logical conclusion when you imagine having a lot of money but actually being poor. I find it hard to describe, but to me it seems like most rich people are used to their wealth being in a constant state of growth while simultaneously living in constant fear of that wealth stagnating or even shrinking.
I have no other explanation for apparently a lot of wealthy people working way above average hours despite so obviously having the least need to actually work for their living.

Most high paying jobs come with a lot of responsibility and therefore come with a lot of stress. A brain surgeon is obviously going to feel a lot more stress over their lifetime than a McDonald's fry cook. That doesn't mean the guy working at McDonald's is happier overall.

I definitely will acknowledge that being poor is also a big ole stress factor as I can attest from my own experience. What I meant earlier though was people with more money than they could ever spend shitting bricks about the thought of becoming mere multimillionaires instead of billionaires.

You also have to consider happiness is a pretty relative thing and you can't really compare it across social stratum
